What items are not accepted by United We Junk?

United We Junk, a junk removal service provider in Topeka, KS, is fully licensed & insured. That doesn't mean that we can take anything and everything.

For legal, environmental, and health reasons, we do not haul off anything considered hazardous waste, such as paint, chemicals, asbestos, motor oil, car batteries, and medical waste. The removal of these items requires special handling and disposal.

In the City of Topeka, the Shawnee County Hazardous Waste Facility accepts most of these materials free of charge. Visit their website for the most up-to-date hours, policies & procedures.

Items with bed bugs, fleas, roaches, rodents, or other infestations cannot be removed. If an infestation is discovered on-site, service may be declined or stopped. We do, however, understand that these things happen. If we are unable to provide our services, we are still happy to share solutions, such as DIY disposal and/or recommendations from our vast roster of providers who can assist.

Lastly, we are unable to take tires, limbs, & food. Even if we can't help, we can advise and point you in the right direction.

Here is what we CAN take: couches, loveseats, mattresses, box springs, grills, recliners, wood, windows, doors, outdoor patio furniture, books, Christmas decorations, clothes, concrete, construction debris, hot tubs, sheds, pianos, old furniture, carpet, boxes, trampolines, old pools, pool tables, cabinets, chairs, we've even hauled off an old incubator!
